Continental Tour Ride (700c & 27-inch)

Details
Continental’s Tour Ride reliably rolls over most surfaces, making it a real all-rounder. The smooth center tread offers effortless riding on smooth surfaces, and the larger side knobs let you handle loose dirt and gravel just as easily. There's also a protective sub-tread that prevents punctures and a tough tread compound to keep you going for miles and miles.
A durable, value-oriented, no frills puncture belt of rubber gives a high resistance to flat tires and lasts longer than a normal tire.

Comments:
I went to a pair of these for my neighborhood fitness riding. It was the closest I could find to a multi-terrain tire in 700x28, making gravel stretches and light snow less problematic. The 80psi maximum is fine, I wouldn't want to run at 90 or 100 anyway with all the pavement breaks on my local streets. Some users report trouble mounting these. I did not have any problem here. No they are not thin, supple racing tires, and there is a substantial amount of rubber to them, but with good technique mounting was easy. I carefully worked the tire all the way around until the final 6 inches remained, and with one judicious attempt with a plastic tire iron the bead popped easily over the rim. The ride with these is smooth and quiet, and fits my needs. Durability remains to be seen, but I expect will be good.
