We’ve gone to a longer top tube paired with a shorter stem and slightly slacker angles that combine for better tracking through the worst conditions. Equipped with 3 bottle locations and fender eyelets give this bike uncompromised flexibility. This modern gravel bike has capacity for a 700 x 50mm tire and is compatible with 1x or 2x drive systems. These shapes are tubes we've used on other models that we know to have various qualities-aerodynamic, stiff, ultralight, etc.-and they help get us to the refinement stage on a bike more quickly. In the case of Caledonia, we wanted durability, lightweight, and aerodynamics to be in balance and selected a package that achieved the performance demands of this kind of race bike. Caledonia uses a standard round bar, stem, and seat post, giving riders the option to build their ultimate ride without compromise. Integrated accessory mounts and hidden fender mounts keep the bike's refined lines so you can ride with lights and computers in a downpour and still look fast. The Caledonia-5 is the bike we keep reaching for when we know the odometer's going well past the triple-digit mark. With a wider fit coordinate range (stack) of 580mm to 687mm, the Caledonia can be slammed or more upright. All while looking and being seamlessly fast in the wind. - Removable FDM Our bolt-on front derailleur mount is made from high-strength aluminum alloy and attaches to the frame with two countersunk screws. This allows for easy replacement in the event of damage but also enables you to adapt to new standards as they become available or remove the front derailleur mount completely if you choose a 1x system. - Integrated Accessory Mounts Integrated mounts enable the use of fenders, lights, and computers without compromising the aerodynamics or structure of your bike. The built-in mount systems provide a simple and clean-looking solution. - SRAM Integrated Power Red and Force build include Quarq Zero power meters integrated into the crank. The integration of a power meter results in better stiffness, lighter weight, and improved accuracy over aftermarket solutions—and the DZero delivers power measurement accurate to +/- 1.5%, even in variable temperatures.
